World Maritime Day was celebrated with a grand reception and award giving ceremony in Bangladesh on 30th September, 2021 at Hotel Intercontinental, Dhaka. The event was hosted by the Ministry of Shipping/Department of Shipping and was attended by the elite shipping community of the country.

Maritime Award 2021 was presented to Haque and Sons Ltd for Special Contribution on Seafarers employment in the manning sector. The award was received by Capt. G.M. Quadrey, Sr. Executive Director of M/S Haque and Sons Ltd.
